Carrie Underwood is set to perform the opening number for NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” for the second consecutive year this season.
As the anticipation for kick-off builds, NBC Sports if giving fans a behind the scenes look at the making of the intro with a 2½-minute clip that features Underwood and several of the NFL’s biggest stars.
The clip, which can be viewed above, made its debut on July 25 on more than 19,000 movie screens in National CineMedia’s FirstLook pre-show program in AMC, Cinemark, and Regal Entertainment Group and other top theaters nationwide.
“Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” is set to the original Joan Jett song, “I Hate Myself for Loving You.”
