This weekend’s PRCA Rodeo features cowboys and cowgirls competing to get to the National Finals.
But there’ll also be glamor element in the form of Miss Rodeo Kansas.
She’s Katera Harter, whose traveled all over the country on behalf of the state.
Among the places that surprised her was Florida, where she went air-boat riding and crocodile watching.
She says even through people don’t think of Florida as a western state, there are a lot of cowboys and rodeos.
Katera further says she’s very fortunate to get to the state level of the pageant, and she’s looking forward to competing to be Miss Rodeo America in December in Las Vegas.
Miss Rodeo Kansas appears at the Topeka PRCA Rodeo Friday and Saturday night at 8.
Tickets are available at Briggs Dodge, Vanderbilt’s, Tarwaters, R Bar B, Meriden Animal Clinic and Meriden Tiger Den.
