The Sheltered Living Golf Classic returns to the Firekeeper Golf Course.
Shannon Warta, special events and marketing manager for Sheltered Living says the golf tournament raises money for their various programs that provide support for over 250 children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
“We do that through residential care our community integration program and our case management skills are where we focus the most on,” said Warta.
The tournament is an 18-hold tournament with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
Warta says because of the July heat they try to get started early so they finish early, too.
“Usually we’re done about 1:30, it doesn’t take all day but people kind of stick around and hang out at the golf course,” said Warta.
The golf tournament is Wednesday July 23rd. For more about signing up visit the Sheltered Living website.
