Ham & Bean Feed in Wakarusa

The Wakarusa Presbyterian Church will hold their 20th Annual Ham and Bean Feed on October 20, 2012 from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. COLORADO BEANS, OZARK SMOKED HAM, WAKARUSA COOKS! You can't beat it! Our ham and beans are cooked out doors over an open fire in iron kettles. The cost is: Adults $7, children 3-12 50c/year, and under 3 is free. The meal includes all of the ham and beans (and cornbread) you can eat, plus a salad, dessert, and a drink. Beans also for sale at the bean pots. Weather permitting, blue grass music will also be provided. Wakarusa is about 5 miles south of Forbes Field. From South Topeka Blvd, turn west on 97th street and follow the black top road, cross the railroad tracks, and bend left (south). The church is on the right side of the steet-easily identified.
